Visualisation

 I have visualised my work by drawing my character into various sizes on varieties of papers and by designing a range of collar designs by looking into my research. 
I was finding it a bit hard to visualise the collar styles from my memory into hand making designs, therefore with the help of my hand made drawings and my primary photos, I started to make collages on photoshop to show the couture style collars on my character as shown below;

Mushaira Project   by Alice Kettle and Emma Martin  This is the project, which I have done during the FFF. I have done this project in collaboration with Alice Kettle. I have spoken to her about the project, she told us about the school kids and the crew who are the Creative Crew at Stanley Grove Primary Academy.  They are working with Manchester Library Service, Manchester Metropolitan University, the University of Manchester, four poets, two artists, the Whitworth Art Gallery, schools across Manchester.  It was a pleasure working with Alice Kettle, she has given the complete freedom to choose our own theme for the tent decoration.  At the beginning of this project, I went to the Abakhan. Magnetic workshop

Today, I have attended a talk of Elnaz Yazdani. She is a contemporary jewellery maker and an embroidery teacher, who has done an internship with 'Iris Van Herpen'. She has talked to us about the background of some fashion designed pieces by 'Iris Van Herpen'. It was really interesting to know about the facts that a designer doesn't only work within his/her field but also works with other creative people - all together to make an interesting outcome of mixed media textiles with technology. After the talk, I had the chance to attend the 'magnetic workshop' with Elnaz Yazdani. I have created some sample pieces with the magnet, iron powder and rubber solution to give the flexible feel to the piece as shown below: Trapping materials with one-another Gravity pull by magnetism  On the ceramic scrap piece On the jersey fabric. Fashion | Form | Fabrication 'Research and Learning agreement'

Learning agreement I am doing the Fashion | Form | Fabrication project. In this project, I will be looking into a character called ‘The white witch’ from the movie Narnia played by Tilda Swinton (shown below). The white witch is the character, which represents a negative, dramatic and a fictional personality. The white witch from the movie 'the chronicles of Narnia' The idea for this project is to make a couture collar according to my character’s characteristics by showing the evilness, stiffness and emotionless character of ‘the white witch’. For this, I am making my project based on the weather winter because the white witch only survives in winter and likes to hurt people. She does not like summer because according to her, summer gives happiness to other people and harms her coldness.
