Development and research
During the Christmas holidays, I have found an artist called 'Karen Margolis', who is a paper artist inspired by the molecular structure and its theory. I was inspired by his colour theme and the way he merges science with his imagination.
As throughout the project I was fascinated with the circular structure of human fat cells(inspired by Steve Gschmeissner microscopic photography), therefore I was interested in the circular structure of Karen Margolis work as shown in the image at the right.
Then by getting inspiration from their work, I have started to create my drawings by own style with bubbles and soldering iron as shown down below:

I think this technique didn't really work because the soap of the bubbles was making the merged texture on the circular structure of these drawings. therefore for the next time, I might use a pen or other painting tool to make circles at the top of the bubble marks.
Then, I have made some more drawings inspired by Karen Margolis as shown down below:

I think I liked these drawings and the way I have layered them with the holes cut paper. I have made these holes with eyelet machine before the holidays and thought I could experiment it by layering them onto my drawings, which turned out pretty interesting.
Therefore, now I am thinking to take this technique further on.
Also, I have made a sample by wrapping some marbles with thread and sticking them onto organza fabric (shown down below), which was quite interesting and I think I really enjoy doing wrapping threads around different objects. I will also take this technique further on for the project sample making.
